Job summary

Teledyne FLIR Defense seeks a Senior Software Engineer to develop next‑generation multispectral imaging software and drivers. You will work on low‑level interfaces, real‑time multiprocessing, and cross‑discipline collaboration to integrate sensors and hardware across platforms.

The role requires 10+ years in embedded RT development, strong C/C++ skills, and experience with Linux kernels and RTOS tech. A background with Qt/QML, Xilinx, and Snapdragon architectures is a plus.

Qualifications

• BS in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or applicable technical field.
• 10+ years of embedded real-time development experience for multithreaded software is expected.
• Strong fluency in C/C++ and object-oriented design methods.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement low-level hardware interfacing software for imaging sensors in a multithreaded environment.
• Work with Linux kernel drivers and real-time operating systems (Linux, FreeRTOS, VxWorks) where applicable.
• Collaborate with FPGA, Electrical, and Mechanical engineers across all design phases.
