Job summary

Teledyne FLIR Defense is seeking a Senior Electrical Engineer - Embedded & Digital Hardware to lead the design and validation of advanced embedded electronics for mission-critical imaging, sensing, and surveillance systems. You will work across multidisciplinary teams to develop architectures, implement high-speed interfaces, and bring hardware from concept through production in demanding environments.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related discipline.
5+ years designing complex digital hardware or embedded electronics.
Experience with high-speed interfaces such as DDR, PCIe, Ethernet, SERDES, MIPI, UART, 1553, Aurora.
Experience with schematic capture, hardware integration, debugging, validation, and troubleshooting.
Understanding of signal integrity, power integrity, EMI/EMC, and board-level design best practices.

Responsibilities

Define future hardware roadmaps with Product Management.
Translate system requirements into board-level designs.
Design PCB assemblies with embedded processors, FPGA/SoC technologies, memory subsystems, and high-speed interfaces.
Collaborate with Software, FPGA, Mechanical, Systems, Test, and Manufacturing Engineering teams.
Lead hardware bring-up, integration, debug, validation, and verification activities.
