Job summary
Caterpillar Inc. is seeking a Senior Integration and Commissioning Engineer for Grade Control systems in Mossville, IL. You will work with software developers, validation and quality engineers, and product managers to deliver real‑time embedded software on hardware.
The role emphasizes leadership in technical delivery, hands-on development with Simulink and C++, and collaboration across internal teams and with customers to ensure robust product deployments.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in an Engineering or Computer Science field with extensive experience, or a Master’s degree with solid experience.
- Hands-on development experience with Simulink and C++.
- Experience with real-time operating systems.
Responsibilities
- Integrate Positioning, Controls and commissioning components for a Grade Control system using C++.
- Perform simulations to validate models.
- Create automated software tests.
- Write, maintain and archive design documents, models, code and related artifacts.
- Communicate designs and results to customers, suppliers and team members.
- Contribute to new product and process design and maintenance.
