Job summary

Caterpillar Inc. in Mossville, IL is seeking a Software Engineer to design, implement and test software for embedded devices and real-time control systems within the CTCT division.

You will work with a delivery team to meet product and customer requirements in a fast-paced, collaborative environment. Key responsibilities include integrating positioning and control components using C++ and Angular, building and testing in SIL, and creating automated tests while contributing to design documents

Qualifications

• Requires a degree in Engineering, Computer Science or Materials Science.
• Analytical thinking and root-cause analysis skills.
• Experience with object-oriented programming and real-time systems.
• Ability to communicate effectively with team members and stakeholders.
• Knowledge of front-end development and embedded control systems is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Integrate positioning, controls and commissioning components using C++ and Angular.
• Build and test in SIL environment.
• Create automated software tests.
• Write, maintain and archive design documents and source code.
• Communicate designs and results to customers, suppliers, and teammates.
• Contribute to new product and process design and maintenance.
