Job summary

TAE Power Solutions is seeking an experienced Embedded Software Engineer to design, develop, and validate real-time firmware for power electronics, BESS, and industrial control systems. The role focuses on C/C++ software on bare-metal and RTOS platforms, with integration to PLCs, sensors, and batteries via industrial protocols.

You will build modular, fault-tolerant software, develop Python tools for test automation, and participate in design reviews. On-site, Irvine, CA, full-time contract.

Qualifications

• BS/MS in Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or related field.
• 5+ years of embedded/real-time software development experience.
• Strong proficiency in C/C++ and working proficiency in Python.
• Experience with RTOS, embedded Linux, and hardware interfaces.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and validate real-time firmware for power electronics and BESS/industrial control systems.
• Develop multi-threaded RTOS applications with proper timing, synchronization, and fault handling.
• Implement low-level hardware interfaces (GPIO/UART/SPI/I2C/CAN/ETH) and device drivers.
• Support system debugging, latency analysis, and performance measurements.
