Job summary

Data Based Development Systems, Inc. seeks an experienced Embedded C++ Software Engineer to join a highly technical team building mission-critical systems that integrate software, firmware and hardware.

You will design, implement and test real-time embedded software in RTOS environments (VxWorks, INTEGRITY, Embedded Linux), mentor engineers, and collaborate across disciplines while maintaining a Secret clearance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or STEM.
• 8+ years of relevant engineering experience.
• Experience with embedded C++ in RTOS environments and hardware/software integration.
• Experience with embedded RTOS such as VxWorks, INTEGRITY, Linux.
• Ability to work across disciplines and mentor others.
• Active and transferable final U.S. Government Secret security clearance.

Responsibilities

• Architect, design, develop, test, and debug embedded real-time software.
• Develop high-performance C++ software in embedded environments.
• Collaborate across hardware, firmware, software teams from concept to implementation.
• Troubleshoot system-level hardware/software issues.
• Participate in PDRs, CDRs, technical reviews, and proposals.
• Provide technical leadership and mentor engineers.
• Collaborate with teams across the product line.
