Job summary

Bank of America Corporation is seeking a Senior Data Streaming Engineer in Charlotte, NC to design and deliver modern, real-time data platforms for ITSM and enterprise data projects. You will create scalable, low-latency pipelines using Apache Flink, Confluent Kafka, and Iceberg, while modernizing legacy batch systems into streaming-first architectures.

The role requires deep experience in data streaming, data lakehouse architectures, and hands-on coding in Python/Java/Scala with strong SQL

Qualifications

• 10+ years of IT experience with strong focus on data engineering.
• 5+ years in data warehousing, data lakes, or MDM systems.
• Strong experience with Apache Flink (stream processing, event time, windowing).
• Proficiency with Python, PySpark, or Java/Scala for data engineering and SQL expertise.
• Experience designing event-driven and streaming architectures and data lakehouse concepts.

Responsibilities

• Lead design and delivery of real-time data pipelines and streaming systems.
• Code complex data integration, transformations, and metadata management.
• Mentor Data Engineers and drive adherence to data management standards.
• Collaborate with architecture and platform teams to establish best practices.
