Job summary

Software Guidance & Assistance, Inc. (SGA), is seeking a Senior Systems and Controls Engineer for a contract position in Oshkosh, Wisconsin. The role focuses on design, development, and integration of safety-critical real-time control systems for unmanned ground vehicles.

You will collaborate with a cross-functional team across prototype and production programs. The ideal candidate has hands-on experience with embedded C/C++, model-based design, and safety standards, and can travel as required

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering or computer science with 3+ years in safety-critical controls.
• Experience in embedded C/C++, model-based design (Simulink) or PLC languages.
• Willingness to travel up to 20% and ability to obtain U.S. Secret clearance.

Responsibilities

• Develop and peer review safety-critical controls software for unmanned ground vehicles.
• Perform failure analyses and recommend issue resolutions.
• Maintain system architecture models and requirements.
• Conduct software and integration testing in simulation and real environments.
• Support supplier and customer tests with travel as needed.
• Maintain configuration management of software artifacts.
• Prepare technical documentation and participate in feasibility studies.
