Job summary

Zobility seeks a Sr. Controls Engineer in Oshkosh, WI to design, develop, integrate, and test safety-critical, real-time control systems for unmanned or optionally manned ground vehicles.

You will drive Vehicle Control Module (VCM) controls development and embedded software engineering across prototype and production programs. Key duties include developing safety-critical controls software, model-based code using MATLAB/Simulink, writing and maintaining requirements, and performing

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related technical field.
• 3+ years of related engineering experience.
• Experience with model-based software development using MATLAB/Simulink.
• Experience writing and managing software requirements.
• Experience writing and executing software unit tests.
• Experience programming embedded controllers using C/C++, MATLAB/Simulink, and/or PLC Structured Text.
• Experience with version control systems.
• Willingness to travel up to 20%.

Responsibilities

• Develop safety-critical controls software for unmanned and optionally manned ground vehicles.
• Develop model-based controls software using MATLAB/Simulink.
• Write, analyze, review, and maintain software and system requirements.
• Develop and execute software unit tests, integration tests, and system-level tests.
• Conduct software and controls testing in simulation and real-world vehicle environments.
• Maintain configuration management of software source code and engineering artifacts.
• Prepare technical documentation and feasibility studies.
• Coordinate technical tasks within larger development programs.
• Communicate with suppliers, internal teams, customers, and external resources.
