Job summary

Castelion is seeking a Senior Control Electronics Engineer to design and deliver real-time control systems for flight-critical applications. You will work with multidisciplinary teams to develop, test, and validate TVC and ACS driver electronics in a fast-paced hardware-driven environment.

The role requires 5+ years in aerospace or high-reliability control electronics, with strong analog/mixed-signal design and proficiency in SPICE and MATLAB/Simulink.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s, Master’s, or PhD in Electrical Engineering or related field.
• 5+ years designing and validating control electronics for aerospace or other high-reliability systems.
• Strong background in real-time control systems, actuator electronics, and hardware feedback implementation.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop real-time control electronics for flight-critical systems, including TVC controllers and ACS driver electronics.
• Lead the architecture and implementation of actuator control systems, including motor drivers, valve drivers, and feedback loops.
• Develop high-reliability analog and mixed-signal circuits for precision control, sensing, and actuation.
• Collaborate with GNC, avionics, and flight software teams to ensure seamless integration of control electronics with vehicle systems.
• Perform circuit-level and system-level modeling to validate performance under dynamic flight conditions.
• Support hardware bring-up, integration, and test campaigns, including debugging and root-cause analysis.
• Define and execute qualification and flight test plans, translating results into system-level improvements.
• Ensure EMI/EMC, thermal performance, and rugged operation in extreme environments.
• Mentor junior engineers and contribute to best practices in control electronics design.
• Partner closely with program leadership to make technical trades aligned with mission success.
