Job summary

Castelion seeks a Senior Control Electronics Engineer to design and deliver real‑time control systems for long‑range hypersonic vehicles. You will develop TVC and ACS driver electronics, and work with GNC, avionics, and flight software teams to ensure robust integration.

You will design high‑reliability analog/mixed‑signal circuits, perform modeling and testing, and lead hardware bring‑up and qualification campaigns in a fast‑paced environment.

Qualifications

• 5+ years designing and validating control electronics for high‑reliability systems.
• Strong background in real‑time control and feedback implementation in hardware.
• Proficient in analog and mixed‑signal circuit design, simulation, and analysis.
• Experience with hardware bring‑up, integration, and troubleshooting in lab/flight environments.
• Familiar with EMI/EMC design practices and high‑vibration/high‑temperature operation.

Responsibilities

• Design and deliver real‑time control electronics for flight‑critical systems including TVC and ACS drivers.
• Lead architecture and implementation of actuator control systems and feedback loops.
• Develop high‑reliability analog/mixed‑signal circuits for precision control and sensing.
• Collaborate with GNC, avionics, and flight software for seamless integration.
• Model and analyze performance, stability, and robustness under dynamic flight conditions.
• Support hardware bring‑up, integration, test campaigns, debugging, root‑cause analysis.
• Define qualification and flight test plans; translate results into system improvements.
• Ensure thermal, EMI/EMC compliance and operation in extreme environments.
• Mentor junior engineers and share best practices in control electronics design.
• Partner with program leadership on technical trades aligned with mission.
