Job summary

Landing Point is seeking a Senior Software Engineer for Algo Development to deliver real-time, low-latency trading solutions. You will enhance a Java-based trading framework and optimize execution strategies across global markets.

The role requires 7+ years in buy-side equities execution and deep knowledge of market microstructure, risk checks, and regulatory impact on performance. Collaboration with Quants and traders is essential, with a focus on scalable distributed systems.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of experience with buy-side equities execution systems.
• Experience developing execution algos like VWAP/TWAP/Inline/PAIRS etc.
• Experience working on Matching Engines/Dark Pools.
• Experience implementing automated testing strategies for algos (simulation, backtesting, regression suites, replay frameworks).
• Deep understanding of market microstructure, pretrade risk checks, limit frameworks, regulatory requirements and their effect on performance of execution algos.
• Expert-level Java, with extensive experience building low-latency, GC-aware, high-throughput distributed systems.
• Strong grasp of distributed, event-driven architectures and messaging (e.g., Kafka, Solace, or similar).
• Experience working with or building algo container frameworks.

Responsibilities

• Build real-time algorithmic trading systems focused on execution optimization.
• Support and enhance Java-based homegrown trading framework.
• Work on performance tuning of existing systems.
• Partner with a dedicated support team to ensure production plant is monitored and supported.
• Collaborate with Quants, Execution Traders, and global teams.
