You will set credit underwriting risk strategies, ensure regulatory compliance, and guide reports to deliver timely, accurate risk ratings and robust decision support for both existing and new customers.

Qualifications

• BA or BS degree required.
• Minimum 7 years of related experience.
• Excellent management, communication, organizational and analytical skills.
• Exceptional knowledge of IRE lending (construction), underwriting practices, and banking regulations.

Responsibilities

• Recruit, hire, train, and oversee a team of Underwriting Portfolio Managers responsible for underwriting, portfolio monitoring, and analyzing assigned portfolios.
• Ensure direct reports identify credit risks timely while maintaining high accuracy and quality.
• Communicate underwriting policies and frameworks to align with risk appetite and regulatory standards.
• Provide guidance to ensure timely and accurate risk ratings for decisions by regional credit officers.
• Manage a small portfolio of accounts, including underwriting and monitoring.
• Monitor KPIs/KRIs and ensure regulatory reviews are satisfactory.
• Support group-wide process improvements and other duties as assigned.
