Job summary

First National Bank in Baltimore seeks a leader for the Investment Real Estate Underwriting Portfolio Manager team. You will manage a group of underwriting professionals responsible for commercial real estate portfolios, including underwriting, monitoring, and risk assessment.

Deliver guidance to ensure timely, accurate risk ratings and oversee portfolio performance against KPIs while maintaining regulatory compliance and strong customer service.

Qualifications

• BA or BS required.
• 7 years of job-related experience required.
• Excellent management and communication skills.
• Strong analytical and interpersonal abilities.
• In-depth knowledge of IRE lending and banking practices.

Responsibilities

• Recruit, hire, train, and oversee team of Underwriting Portfolio Managers.
• Ensure timely identification of credit risks and maintain high quality underwriting.
• Communicate credit underwriting and portfolio management policies to align with risk appetite.
• Provide guidance to ensure accurate risk ratings for existing and new customers.
• Manage a small portfolio of accounts and monitor assigned portfolios.
• Collaborate on group-wide process improvements and initiatives.
