Job summary

Corebridge Financial is seeking an experienced underwriter for its Commercial Mortgage group in El Segundo, CA. The role covers performing, transitional, bridge and construction loans with diverse transaction types and large deal sizes.

You will review reports, prepare credit memos, analyze markets and cash flows, and partner with brokers and team members in a collaborative, hybrid work setting.

Qualifications

• BA/BS required and an advanced degree a plus.
• Robust analytical skills are necessary.
• Strong organizational, leadership, communication, and quantitative skills.
• Requires an interest in real estate and the ability to perform market research.

Responsibilities

• Review and summarize third party reports including appraisals, engineering, environmental, credit and legal documents.
• Assist in the preparation of credit memos.
• Review leases and property-level documents.
• Communicate with brokers, agents and principals to complete strategic research projects and validate underwriting assumptions.
• Conduct market research on economic and lending trends and real estate market comparatives using CoStar, Reis, Bloomberg.
• Perform advanced valuation and cash flow analysis using Argus.
• Interact closely with the underwriting team, loan originators, closers, legal and portfolio management.
• Understand internal systems and create quarterly accounting reports of CMBS holdings.
