First American's Direct division seeks a seasoned title underwriting attorney with a law degree and active licensing to practice in the hiring state. You will provide underwriting support, guidance, and practical legal expertise for real estate settlements and title commitments.

Candidates should have 5-7 years of title underwriting experience, familiarity with real estate law, and strong negotiation, listening, and written communication skills.

Qualifications

• Must hold a Law Degree and be admitted to practice in the state of employment.
• 5-7 years of title underwriting experience.
• Familiar with real estate law and settlement processes.

Responsabilités

• Provides underwriting support and authorization for title insurance commitments and policies.
• Guides personnel in real estate settlement services and underwriting standards.
• Issues underwriting standards and follows company processes.
• Other duties as assigned.
