Job summary

First American is seeking a Sr. Underwriter for the Energy Group to support underwriting of real estate title insurance commitments and policies. You will provide guidance to personnel on settlement services and ensure adherence to underwriting standards within delegated authority.

Required are a Law Degree, active law license, and 8–10 years of title underwriting experience with familiarity in real estate law. Strong collaboration and analytical skills are essential for success.

Responsibilities

• Provides underwriting support, counsel, and authorization to company personnel, agents, and customers for real estate title insurance commitments and policies.
• Underwrites title insurance within delegated authority guidelines.
• Provides guidance on real estate settlement services.
• Issues underwriting standards and guidelines per company processes.
• Other duties as assigned
