Job summary

Sound Transit in Seattle seeks a senior real property professional to manage complex relocation and acquisition tasks within its real property program. You will supervise consultants, coordinate due diligence, and ensure compliance with federal Relocation Act requirements while guiding budget and schedule.

The role requires a Bachelor’s degree plus several years of real estate experience, including appraisal, negotiation, and project leadership.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Insurance and Real Estate, Finance, or closely related field and four years of experience in real estate including real property acquisition, relocation, and real estate appraisal and review.
• Experience in real estate including acquisition, relocation, and appraisal.
• IRWA certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Oversee relocation & acquisition functions under the Uniform Relocation Act and guide benefits information for displaced property owners.
• Lead, schedule, assign, and inspect daily work of consultants and contractors; manage due diligence and status meetings with staff/consultants.
• Review internal documents for relocation payments; ensure compliance with federal regulations and manage claim packages for closings.
• Represent Sound Transit in sensitive relocation briefings and document stakeholder commitments for records.
• Assemble and track Federal Transit Administration (FTA) packages and ensure project databases are updated.
• Provide real estate valuations and relocation cost estimates to support project budgets and forecasts.
