Premier Long Island Law Firm seeks a Real Estate Partner to advise clients on sophisticated commercial real estate matters and to drive growth across the practice. You will have substantial autonomy to manage client relationships and transactions, develop and expand your practice, and collaborate with attorneys across disciplines.

Qualifications

• J.D. from ABA-accredited law school with strong academic credentials.
• Admission and good standing with the New York State Bar.
• 10+ years of substantial Real Estate experience, with a strong focus on sophisticated transactional work.
• Extensive experience structuring, negotiating and closing commercial real estate acquisitions and related transactions.

Responsibilities

• Advise clients on a broad range of sophisticated commercial real estate transactions, with a focus on acquisitions, dispositions and leasing.
• Structure, negotiate and close complex real estate transactions from initial planning through closing.
• Draft, review and negotiate purchase and sale agreements, leases, financing documents and other commercial real estate agreements.
• Advise clients on mortgage financing, equity investments and related real estate transactions.
• Conduct and oversee comprehensive due diligence involving corporate documents, deeds, mortgages, title matters and surveys.
• Identify and address legal, transactional and business issues throughout the lifecycle of a transaction.
• Manage transaction timelines and coordinate all parties to support efficient and successful closings.
• Build, maintain and strengthen trusted relationships with clients and professional referral sources.
• Provide practical, strategic and business-focused legal counsel tailored to client objectives.
• Develop and grow a personal book of business while leveraging the firm's established platform and resources.
• Identify opportunities to deepen existing client relationships and expand the scope of services provided.
• Participate actively in business development, relationship building and market-facing activities.
• Collaborate with attorneys across practice groups to deliver comprehensive and integrated client service.
• Lead and supervise attorneys, associates and legal support professionals.
• Provide mentorship and guidance to junior attorneys and members of the Real Estate team.
• Contribute to the continued development and growth of the Real Estate practice.
• Work collaboratively with partners and attorneys across the broader firm to support client needs and cross-practice opportunities.
• Help maintain a high-performing, collegial and client-focused team environment.
• Contribute to business development initiatives and support the continued growth of the Corporate Practice.
