The ideal candidate has 10+ years in commercial real estate paralegal work, a BA/BS, and knowledge of title, survey, and zoning. A paralegal certificate is preferred; strong organization and communication skills are essential.

Qualifications

• BA/BS with strong academic credentials.
• Minimum 10+ years of paralegal experience in a commercial real estate practice at a medium or large law firm.
• In depth knowledge of title, survey and zoning requirements; experience in preparing title, survey and zoning materials.
• Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to interact with clients, partners, associates, paralegals and all staff members.
• Paralegal certificate preferred.

Responsibilities

• Oversee and complete all title, zoning and survey requirements and related documents.
• Obtain tax numbers, bills, exemptions, sale redemptions, assist with tax divisions and consolidations as well as copies of Sidwell maps and utility letters.
• Obtain, prepare and record certain real estate documents.
• Obtain, prepare and file certain corporate documents.
• Review title commitments, supporting documents and surveys.
• Prepare, amend and/or modify and terminate UCC forms.
• Assemble closing binders and signature pages for residential and commercial real estate transactions.
• Maintain files in connection with real estate transactions.
• All other projects as assigned by an Attorney or the Paralegal Manager.
