Job summary

SBA Communications seeks an experienced Senior Corporate Counsel in the Real Estate track to support high-volume Mergers & Acquisitions activity. Drafting, negotiating, and closing real estate agreements, including ground leases and easements, will be core responsibilities in a fast-paced environment.

The ideal candidate has a JD, active U.S. bar admission, and 6–10 years of real estate law experience, with strong drafting and coordination across departments.

Qualifications

• J.D. from an accredited law school and U.S. bar admission.
• 6–10 years of real estate law experience in large firms or in-house.
• Extensive real estate knowledge with title and survey analysis.
• Strong drafting, negotiation and communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and cross-functional collaboration.

Responsibilities

• Draft, review, negotiate, and redline real estate agreements such as ground leases and tenant leases.
• Analyze title commitments and due diligence materials; propose cures.
• Coordinate with M&A team to resolve due diligence issues.
• Manage transactions through closing with timely, accurate closings.
• Provide guidance on real estate matters and amendments to agreements.
• Supervise staff and outside counsel when needed.
