Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Manage real estate litigation matters from intake through resolution, including pleadings, motions, discovery, depositions, mediations, and trial preparation.
• Handle breach of contract, quiet title, easement/boundary disputes, lease disputes, HOA issues, construction defect claims, and landlord-tenant matters.
• Provide strategic counsel to business owners, developers, owners, brokers, and investors.
• Conduct depositions, argue complex motions, and represent clients in arbitrations and mediations.
• Work with clients to deliver tailored, cost-effective legal solutions aligned with their goals.

Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced Real Estate Litigation Attorney with at least 5 years of hands-on civil litigation experience to join our premier, client-focused Southern California law practice.

This role offers a unique balance: sophisticated high-stakes real estate litigation combined with a low annual billable requirement of just 1,550 hours and a flexible working environment. Key Responsibilities

• Manage real estate litigation matters from intake through resolution, including drafting pleadings, motions, discovery, depositions, mediations, and trial preparation.
• Handle diverse matters such as breach of contract, quiet title actions, easement and boundary line disputes, commercial lease disputes, HOA disputes, construction defect claims, and landlord-tenant issues.
• Provide strategic counsel to business owners, real estate developers, property owners, brokers, and investors.
• Conduct depositions, argue complex motions in court, and represent clients in alternative dispute resolution (arbitrations and mediations).
• Work collaboratively with clients to deliver tailored, cost-effective legal solutions aligned with their broader goals.

Qualifications

• Education: Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school.
• Bar Admission: Active member in good standing with the State Bar of California.
• Experience: 5+ years of dedicated civil litigation experience, with a primary emphasis on California real estate litigation.

Skills:

• Strong research, writing, analytical, and oral advocacy skills.
• Proven track record handling court appearances, taking/defending depositions, and drafting complex legal briefs.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision while managing a varied case caseload.
• Excellent communication and client-relationship management abilities.
