Job description

Location: Los Angeles area, California. In-office four days per week. Remote-first candidates are not a fit for this role.

Compensation: $170,000 to $240,000 base, depending on experience.

Twenty80 represents an established Los Angeles law firm with a sophisticated real estate litigation practice. The firm produces work product on par with leading regional and national firms. We are running this search on the firm's behalf and can share the client's identity with qualified candidates under confidentiality.

The Role

You will step in and run real estate litigation matters at a high level, working alongside senior partners on complex cases while carrying your own load with minimal supervision. This is a seat for someone who wants to grow inside the firm, not just clear a billing target. The firm handles diverse real estate disputes, and you will get range across acquisition disputes, title issues, landlord-tenant matters, and commercial real estate litigation.

What the Firm Is Looking For

Experience

• 3 to 7 years of real estate litigation experience at a mid-size, large, or strong boutique firm.
• Demonstrated breadth across real estate disputes, including acquisition disputes, title issues, landlord-tenant matters, and commercial real estate. The firm wants range, not a single niche such as financing.
• A track record with commercial real estate disputes, including office buildings and high-value transactions. Residential home-purchase work alone will not meet the bar.
• Current tenure at a reputable firm with a sophisticated real estate practice.
• Experience supporting senior partners on complex cases while handling significant work independently.

Education and Licensure

• Active California bar membership, or eligibility for immediate admission.
• JD from a well-regarded law school. The firm values substance over pedigree, so a strong record matters more than the name on the diploma.

Skills

• Flawless legal writing. The firm has zero tolerance for typos or grammatical errors and expects you to produce polished briefs and motions on your own.
• A broad litigation skillset across motions practice, discovery, depositions, and trial preparation, applied to multiple types of real estate disputes rather than one narrow specialty.
• The ability to carry matters independently with minimal partner oversight.
• Drive and self-motivation. The firm wants real ambition and energy, plus a genuine interest in growing within the practice.
