Alexander Chapman is seeking a Senior Analyst to join its Investments & Asset Management team in Los Angeles. This investment-focused role sits on a lean team and offers direct exposure to senior investment professionals.

You will underwrite real estate opportunities, build property-level financial models, and support underwriting and asset-level execution across the investment lifecycle, collaborating with senior colleagues.

Qualifications

• 2-3 years of relevant professional experience strongly preferred.
• Experience in private equity, real estate private equity, investment banking, or a highly institutional real estate platform.
• Significant financial modeling and underwriting experience is required.
• Direct property-level commercial real estate underwriting experience is highly valued.
• Experience evaluating acquisitions or real estate investment opportunities.
• Strong understanding of real estate valuation, cash flows, returns and investment fundamentals.
• Advanced Excel skills; ARGUS experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Underwrite new commercial real estate investment opportunities.
• Build detailed property-level financial models and return analyses.
• Evaluate potential acquisitions, including valuation, capital structure and investment returns.
• Perform market, property, tenant and comparable analysis.
• Support due diligence and transaction execution through closing.
• Prepare investment committee materials and investment recommendations.
• Assist with financing and capital structure analysis.
• Monitor existing investments and evaluate asset-level performance.
• Support execution of asset-level business plans and strategic initiatives.
• Work directly with senior members of the investment team across active transactions.
