Qualifications

• 2-3 years of relevant professional experience strongly preferred.
• Experience in private equity, real estate private equity, investment banking, or a highly institutional real estate platform.
• Significant financial modeling and underwriting experience is required.
• Direct property-level commercial real estate underwriting experience is highly valued.
• Experience evaluating acquisitions or real estate investment opportunities.
• Strong understanding of real estate valuation, cash flows, returns and investment fundamentals.
• Advanced Excel skills; ARGUS experience preferred.

Responsibilities

Alexander Chapman is partnering with an established real estate private equity and investment platform seeking a Senior Analyst to join its Investments & Asset Management team in Los Angeles.

This is an investment-focused position within a lean team and is best suited to someone currently working at a leading private equity, real estate investment, or investment banking platform who wants broader responsibility and direct exposure to senior investment professionals.

The role will have a significant focus on real estate investment analysis and underwriting, alongside exposure to asset management and the full investment lifecycle.

Responsibilities

To be considered, candidates should have meaningful investment, transaction and/or underwriting experience. Pure property management, brokerage or operational real estate backgrounds without substantial financial modeling and investment experience will not be suitable.
