Job summary

SpaceX is seeking a Senior Counsel for Real Estate & Infrastructure to support land management and site development initiatives tied to SpaceX facilities and operations. The role focuses on Louisiana land matters, leases, and related commercial agreements, working closely with internal teams and external partners.

Onsite Bastrop, TX is required for this senior, land-heavy position. You will draft, negotiate, and manage complex real estate transactions, coordinate with survey and engineering

Qualifications

• JD or foreign equivalent from an ABA-accredited law school.
• Must be admitted to the bar, in good standing, in Louisiana.
• 8+ years of experience supporting complex commercial transactions including real estate and infrastructure.

Responsibilities

• Lead legal work for Louisiana land position and real estate holdings, including leases and access arrangements.
• Draft and negotiate real estate and land-use documents such as purchases, sales, leases, and easements.
• Oversee due diligence for site development, including title, survey, land-use coordination with teams.
• Provide guidance on infrastructure development for spaceport and production sites.
• Support utility and energy infrastructure development, including power and water systems.
• Brief internal stakeholders with parish/state/federal officials, utilities, and regulators.
• Lead public-sector and community arrangements related to site development and interlocal agreements.
• Counsel on commercial matters supporting operations, logistics, housing, and workforce infrastructure.
• Manage outside counsel, while handling day-to-day land-related negotiation in-house.
