Job summary

SpaceX in Bastrop, TX is seeking a Senior Counsel for Real Estate & Infrastructure to lead Louisiana land matters, draft leases and sale documents, and oversee land-use diligence across site development. You will coordinate with internal teams on regulatory and permitting issues and manage external counsel.

The role focuses on infrastructure projects, energy and utility arrangements, and cross-site commercial transactions within a fast-moving spaceport environment.

Qualifications

• JD or foreign equivalent from an ABA-accredited law school.
• Admitted to the bar, in good standing, in Louisiana.
• 8+ years of experience supporting complex commercial transactions, including real estate, land management.

Responsibilities

• Lead real estate work for SpaceX's Louisiana land position and related holdings.
• Draft and negotiate real estate and land-use documents (leases, purchases, sales, easements, rights-of-way).
• Oversee diligence for site development including title and land-use coordination with teams.
• Provide guidance on infrastructure development for spaceport and production sites.
• Support energy infrastructure development including power, water, and fuel-supply agreements.
• Advise on regulatory interactions with officials, utilities, and regulators.
• Assist with interlocal and municipal agreements related to site development.
• Manage outside counsel while handling day-to-day land-related tasks in-house.
