Job summary

SpaceX seeks a Sr. Counsel for Real Estate & Infrastructure to lead legal work on the Louisiana land position, site planning, leases, and related commercial matters for SpaceX spaceport development.

You will draft, negotiate, and coordinate across internal teams and regulators, handling complex property agreements and diligence while interfacing with public officials and external counsel.

Qualifications

• J.D. or foreign equivalent from ABA-accredited law school.
• Licensed to practice in Louisiana (in good standing).
• 8+ years in complex commercial transactions incl. real estate, land, infrastructure.

Responsibilities

• Lead legal work for Louisiana land position, real estate holdings, leases, rights-of-way, and site planning.
• Draft and negotiate real estate and land-use documents (purchases, sales, leases, easements).
• Lead due diligence for site development, title, land-use, and regulatory coordination.
• Provide guidance on infrastructure development for SpaceX sites in Louisiana and other locations.
• Support utility and energy infrastructure development, including power, water, and interconnection.
• Advise stakeholders in briefings with officials, utilities, regulators; manage external counsel.
• Support public-sector and community arrangements related to site development.
• Counsel on commercial matters supporting production, logistics, housing, and workforce infrastructure.
• Manage outside counsel and own day-to-day land-related legal work in-house.
