Job summary

The Housing Authority of the City of Los Angeles (HACLA) seeks a Senior Staff Attorney to manage real estate and affordable housing development matters. The ideal candidate will have substantial real estate and redevelopment experience and land use expertise, including leases, acquisitions, and dispositions.

Responsibilities include negotiating complex documents, overseeing outside counsel, and ensuring compliance with state and federal public works requirements.

Qualifications

• Experience in real estate or development/redevelopment law.
• Ability to review and negotiate real estate related agreements.
• Experience managing outside counsel and municipal matters.

Responsibilities

• Prepare/review real estate agreements incl. LOIs, leases, loans, and deeds.
• Support affordable housing and tax credit development/redevelopment efforts.
• Handle land use, zoning, CEQA/NEPA, and environmental matters.
