Job summary

BNY is looking for a Controller to join their alternative operations team in New York. This role involves directing Fund Accounting teams, managing client relationships, and ensuring accounting records comply with departmental policies.

Qualified candidates will have a Bachelor’s degree in accounting, at least 10 years of related experience, and a thorough understanding of GAAP and IFRS regulations. The position offers a competitive salary of $102,000 - $175,000 and extensive benefits.

Qualifications

• Minimum 10 years of experience in commercial real estate fund accounting leadership.
• Knowledge of SEC rules applicable to investment funds.
• Ability to evaluate the impact of new regulations on accounting practices.

Responsibilities

• Direct multiple Fund Accounting teams for various clients.
• Resolve escalated issues related to fund calculations.
• Oversee resource allocation for determining net asset value.
