Mission Staffing is seeking an experienced Assistant Controller/Controller to join a highly regarded alternative investment firm's finance team in New York. This newly created opportunity involves overseeing financial reporting, journal entries, and managing a team while actively contributing to the firm's growth.

The ideal candidate will have 5+ years of experience in accounting or finance, preferably within alternative investments, along with a Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance (CPA preferred). The role offers a base salary between $150,000 and $200,000 with total compensation potential up to $250,000.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of accounting or finance experience within alternative investments.
• Combination of public accounting and industry experience preferred.
• Strong understanding of U.S. GAAP and financial reporting.

Responsabilités

• Oversee financial reporting and general ledger activity.
• Lead monthly close activities including reconciliations and account analyses.
• Mentor junior team members and collaborate with finance leadership.
