Atlantic Group, a growing alternative investment firm in Stamford, CT, seeks an Assistant Controller to join its finance team. The role offers broad exposure across accounting, financial reporting, treasury, tax, operational finance, and stakeholder reporting.

Based in Stamford with a 4-day in-office, 1-day remote schedule, it provides a base salary of $140K-$160K plus target bonus and comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• 5–8 years of accounting, audit, tax, or related finance experience.
• Public accounting experience preferred.
• Strong understanding of financial reporting and accounting principles.
• Experience managing relationships with external providers.

Responsibilities

• Review accounting records, financial reports, and reconciliations.
• Coordinate with auditors, tax advisors, and banking partners.
• Support quarterly and annual financial reporting processes.
• Assist with performance reporting, fee calculations, and financial analysis.
• Review tax-related reporting and compliance deliverables.
• Calculate management fees and report on fund performance.
• Oversee cash management, treasury activities, and related reporting.
• Monitor expenses, payments, and balance sheet reconciliations.
• Identify opportunities to improve processes and strengthen internal controls.

Location: Stamford, CT (4 days in office, 1 day remote)

Compensation: $140K-$160K base + target bonus

Key Responsibilities
