Job summary

We Are Legal Revolution in Washington, DC seeks a 4th to 8th year Real Estate Finance Associate to join a Chambers-ranked national firm. You will handle sophisticated commercial real estate finance transactions, structure loans, and lead deal workstreams with partner support.

Ideal candidates have 4–8 years' RE finance experience, strong drafting and client communication skills, and DC bar admission; in-office five days a week. Competitive base salary up to $365,000 plus bonus and benefits.

Qualifications

• 4th to 8th year associate class experience at a law firm.
• Significant broad based commercial real estate finance experience for lenders and/or borrowers.
• Experience or clear desire to first chair transactions and independently run deals with team support.
• Strong drafting skills plus confident client-facing written and verbal communication abilities.
• Admission to the District of Columbia bar and willingness to be in office five days a week.

Responsibilities

• Represent lenders and borrowers in a broad range of commercial real estate finance transactions.
• Structure and execute mortgage loans, construction loans, leverage loans, and mezzanine financings.
• Draft and negotiate credit agreements, security documents, intercreditor agreements, and ancillary documentation.
• Lead day to day deal management, coordinate with opposing counsel, and communicate directly with client teams.
• First chair transactions with partner support while mentoring juniors and contributing to practice development.
