Job summary

Morrow & Associates in Charlotte, NC seeks a Director of Real Estate Development & Construction to lead a growing multi-site retail portfolio of freestanding automotive service locations. This is a hands-on owner’s representative role with mortgage-like accountability.

Based in Midtown Charlotte, the Director will manage site evaluation, due diligence, entitlements, permitting and turnover, plus renovations and capital improvements across the portfolio, with ~30% travel primarily along the East

Qualifications

• 10+ years hands-on development and construction experience.
• Ground-up development from predevelopment through completion.
• Strong knowledge of site/civil development, entitlements, permitting and construction.

Responsibilities

• Participate in site evaluation, feasibility and due diligence
• Lead entitlements, permitting and municipal approvals
• Manage architects, civil engineers and third-party consultants
• Manage project budgets, schedules and preconstruction
• Lead bidding and contractor selection
• Serve as owner’s representative, overseeing third-party GCs through construction and turnover
• Manage multiple projects and proactively resolve development and construction issues
