Qualifications

• 5+ years of private law firm or corporate counsel practice as a transactional real estate attorney.
• Experience drafting land purchase agreements and construction contracts.
• Experience with risk management and litigation coordination is a plus.
• Must have JD and active state bar membership.

Responsibilities

• Draft and negotiate land purchase agreements, construction contracts and related documents.
• Perform due diligence on land purchase transactions.
• Advise executives on legal risks facing the organization daily.
• Research statutes, judicial decisions, and legislation impacting the organization.
• Assist with pre-litigation to minimize risks and maximize legal rights.
• Manage ongoing litigation, including outside counsel.
• Assist with training employees on legal and compliance matters.
• Perform corporate audits related to compliance management (licenses, registrations).
