Job summary

The ideal candidate has 10 years of real estate accounting/audit experience, a CPA, Big 4 background, strong communication, and advanced Excel skills; MRI/Yardi

Qualifications

• 10 years of real estate portfolio accounting or audit experience.
• CPA credential required; Big 4 background preferred.
• Experience leading teams and supervising staff.
• Strong analytical, written and verbal communication skills.
• Proficiency in Excel; familiarity with MRI/Yardi and Workiva/Anaplan is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Manage accounting and reporting for real estate investments and joint ventures.
• Oversee assistant controllers and portfolio accountants in financial reviews.
• Review asset acquisitions, dispositions, and financing entries.
• Conduct quarterly consolidations and financial reporting.
• Lead year-end audit and financial statement preparation.
• Ensure debt compliance and analyze loan documents.
• Collaborate with corporate accounting and performance teams.
• Coordinate with external service providers and investors.
