Job summary

AcctPositions is seeking an experienced Controller for a well-established family-owned commercial real estate company in Midtown Manhattan. The Controller will oversee daily accounting and financial operations across tax, treasury, reporting, tenant billing, and property management systems.

This role partners with ownership, property management, lenders, and professionals, supporting long-term landlord-tenant relationships.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and oversee financial records, ledgers, and periodic reporting.
• Coordinate with outside firm on tax estimates and filings.
• Oversee treasury, banking relationships, and cash management.
• Manage lender and loan-servicer reporting, rent rolls, and DSCR.
• Oversee tenant billing and lease administration.
• Supervise AR/AP staff and monitor collections.
• Oversee CPM property management/accounting system.
• Prepare census and regulatory filings.
• Assist ownership with investments and retirement accounts.
• Maintain corporate records and compliance.
