Job summary

JP Management LLC, a privately held real estate investment and property management company, seeks an experienced Real Estate Controller to lead accounting, financial reporting, and operational finance functions for its multifamily portfolio.

The role reports to ownership and works with property management teams, CPAs, and tax advisors to drive accurate, timely financial information and strategic insights for decision making.

Qualifications

• Senior-level accounting and financial management experience in multifamily or commercial real estate.
• Strong understanding of internal controls, lender reporting, and financial analysis.
• Experience overseeing FP&A and coordinating with CPAs and tax professionals.

Responsibilities

• Lead accounting and FP&A teams and supervise the Senior Manager in day-to-day tasks.
• Oversee financial reporting for multifamily portfolio and related entities.
• Develop policies, controls, and reporting standards; ensure timely, decision-oriented information.
• Coordinate year-end audits, tax returns, and lender examinations.
• Improve reporting processes and management dashboards; support budgeting and forecasting.
• Manage cash flow, debt, capital expenditures, and capital projects oversight.
