Job summary

McKesson is seeking a Senior Project Manager to lead complex capital construction projects across its industrial portfolio. This role manages projects from initiation through occupancy and closeout, coordinating with Real Estate, Facilities, Operations, IT, and external partners to ensure scope, schedule, budget, and risks are clearly communicated to leadership.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of experience managing commercial, industrial, distribution, or large-scale facility projects.
• Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, Project Management, Real Estate, Facilities Management, or related field; MBA preferred.
• Experience leading projects from planning and design through occupancy and closeout.
• Experience managing capital budgets, forecasting, cost controls, and change management processes.
• Strong understanding of construction delivery methods, contracting strategies, building systems, permitting, and project controls.
• Experience managing external PM firms, architects, engineers, contractors, and suppliers.
• PMP, CCM, LEED, PE or equivalent credentials preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead capital construction projects from concept through completion, including distribution centers, warehouses, and office renovations.
• Evaluate greenfield sites for future development and entitlements.
• Develop project scopes, schedules, budgets, cost estimates, and execution strategies.
• Coordinate architects, engineers, consultants, contractors, and vendors.
• Manage design reviews, permitting, procurement, bidding, construction, commissioning, occupancy, and closeout.
• Monitor budgets, forecasts, contingencies, and change orders.
• Identify risks and implement mitigation to protect schedule and budget.
• Facilitate meetings and provide executive status updates.
• Maintain stakeholder communication plans for leaders and project teams.
• Serve as day-to-day communication lead for assigned projects.
• Collaborate with Operations, Facilities, Safety, Security on adoption and change management.
• Review contractor performance and ensure compliance with contracts.
• Build relationships with site leaders and external providers.
• Ensure compliance with building codes, safety requirements, regulatory requirements, and McKesson policies.
• Drive continuous improvement in PM processes and supplier performance.
