Job summary

FINITETEK INC is seeking a mid-to-senior Real Estate Attorney with a strong construction law background to join its New York team. The ideal candidate will have 5+ years advising owners and developers on sophisticated commercial and residential construction matters.

Responsibilities include drafting and negotiating construction, design, engineering, and consulting agreements; advising on construction claims; and applying New York construction and lien law. NY Bar admission required.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of construction law experience advising owners and developers on sophisticated matters.
• Strong drafting and negotiation of construction-related agreements.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills.
• Active New York Bar admission in good standing.

Responsibilities

• Advise owners and developers throughout all phases of construction projects.
• Draft and negotiate construction, design, engineering, and consulting agreements.
• Negotiate right-of-entry, access, and closeout agreements.
• Advise clients on construction claims and project-related issues.
• Resolve construction disputes outside of arbitration and litigation.
• Apply New York construction law and New York Lien Law.
