Flagstar Bank is seeking a Closing Specialist II in Hicksville, NY to perform closing due diligence reviews for complex real estate loan files. You will liaise between lending, legal, and third parties to ensure closings align with credit terms and funding processes.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED or foreign equivalent.
• 4+ years in commercial real estate or banking experience.
• Undergraduate degree preferred; paralegal experience a plus.
• Knowledge of bridge, participation/syndication and swap loans a plus.
• Strong communication, organizational and analytical skills.

Responsibilities

• Review complex CRE and construction loan files pre-closing for documentation and policy conformance.
• Lead closing contact for Relationship Manager, Credit Product Specialist, Relationship Associate and Legal.
• Ensure compliance with flood, Reg B, AML and credit approvals.
• Prepare Closing Review Form as summary of loan terms for Closing Counsel & Loan Operations.
• Independently manage a portfolio of loan closings.
• Coordinate closing aspects of renewals, modifications and extensions.
