Job summary

S&T Bank seeks a Senior Appraiser to assist the Chief Appraiser in supporting Commercial Banking, Business Banking and Managed Assets with compliant real estate valuation practices.

The role includes supervising staff, managing appraisal workflows, and ensuring adherence to USPAP standards and regulatory requirements. Must have a four-year degree in Real Estate Appraisal and applicable state licensing.

Qualifications

• Requires a four-year degree or equivalent with Real Estate Appraisal specialization.
• Appraisal Institute designation MAI or AI-GRS preferred.
• 5–10 years of general business and specialized real estate appraisal experience.
• Certified General Appraiser in PA, OH, NY to support bank’s market strategy.
• Strong knowledge of FIRREA and appraisal regulations.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate, monitor and maintain high appraisal standards per USPAP and bank policies.
• Manage appraisal department workflow and staff in Chief Appraiser's absence.
• Oversee YouConnect appraisal management system and vendor services for real estate appraisals.
• Review complex appraisals and communicate valuation conclusions to executives.
• Educate Bank employees on Real Estate Appraisal Policy and related matters.
