Job summary

S&T Bank is seeking a Senior Real Estate Appraiser to support Commercial Banking and related units by ensuring appraisal practices meet state and federal standards. You will help establish policies, oversee workflow, and coordinate with external appraisers to safeguard collateral value.

The role requires strong FIRREA knowledge, USPAP familiarity and the ability to lead a team, especially in the Chief Appraiser's absence.

Qualifications

Requires a four-year degree and specialization in Real Estate Appraisal.
Appraisal Institute designation MAI or AI-GRS preferred.
Strong knowledge of FIRREA and appraisal regulations.

Responsibilities

Assist in evaluating, monitoring and maintaining high appraisal standards to ensure compliance.
Establish and maintain S&T's Real Estate Appraisal Policy and Procedures.
Evaluate new valuation products and supervise workflow to maximize efficiency.
Manage the appraisal department in the Chief Appraiser's absence; oversee staff and schedules.
Oversee YouConnect appraisal management system and vendor relationships for collateral appraisals.
Perform independent reviews of real estate appraisals/evaluations per USPAP and regulations.
Review complex appraisals; communicate valuation conclusions to stakeholders.
Maintain Approved Appraiser Lists for various banking divisions and assignments.
Educate bank employees on Real Estate Appraisal policies and regulatory matters.
