Job summary

Jobot is seeking a Senior Accountant for our Real Estate portfolio in the Construction sector, offering a $90,000–$120,000 annual salary in Virginia. You will manage accounting for a broad portfolio of real estate assets, ensuring GAAP-compliant financial statements and timely reporting.

Responsibilities include year-end close, audit coordination, and REIT/fund accounting, with collaboration with property management to ensure accuracy and transparency.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of accounting experience in real estate or construction, focusing on multifamily.
• Experience in REIT accounting, fund accounting, and year-end close.
• Strong knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting.
• Proficiency in accounting software and Excel.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple projects.
• Excellent written and verbal communication.
• Ability to work independently and in a team.

Responsibilities

• Manage accounting for a portfolio of real estate assets (A/P, A/R, GL).
• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual GAAP financial statements.
• Coordinate year-end close and liaise with auditors.
• Handle REIT accounting and compliance.
• Manage fund accounting including capital calls and distributions.
