Job summary

Pearl Real Estate Company is seeking a Pearl Senior Accountant in San Antonio, TX to ensure the integrity, accuracy, and timeliness of all accounting information. You will maintain ledgers for multiple entities, perform month-end close, and support budgeting and financial reporting across real estate operations.

Ideal candidates have a 4-year accounting degree, CPA is a plus, strong Excel skills, and at least 4 years of relevant experience in public accounting or real estate accounting.

Qualifications

• 4-year accounting degree required; CPA certification a plus.
• Knowledge of accounting systems and how they integrate within a company’s accounting structures.
• Knowledge of financial reporting processes; Intermediate Excel level.
• Ability to interact professionally with others; Strong analytical skills.
• Minimum of 4 years’ experience in public accounting and/or industry-specific accounting.
• Experience in accounting for multiple companies/lines of business preferred.

Responsibilities

• Maintain general ledger and sub-ledgers for multiple entities and business lines.
• Reconcile general ledger accounts to sub-ledgers and supporting documentation.
• Reconcile intercompany accounts.
• Prepare promissory note compliance checklist and record related journal entries.
• Prepare and record reclassing, recurring, and accrual journal entries.
• Coordinate month-end close with accounting team to meet deadlines.
