Job summary

CLA is seeking a Senior to join our CAAS (Client Accounting & Advisory Services) group supporting the Real Estate Industry, based out of Phoenix. The role focuses on client service, month-end processing, and supervising Associates to ensure high-quality financial work.

Collaborative across offices, this position emphasizes delivering accurate financial statements, reconciliations, and guidance on accounting processes in a professional services environment.

Qualifications

• 2 years of relevant accounting and/or financial experience is required.
• Bachelor's degree is required. Combination of related experience, education, and training may be accepted in lieu of degree.

Responsibilities

• Develops understanding of each client’s business/organization operations. Competent in management of multiple clients, software, and chart of accounts on a daily, weekly, and monthly basis.
• Leads coordination and processing of accounts payable, cash disbursements, accounts receivable, cash receipts and posting/recording of payroll transactions.
• Coordinates and reviews account reconciliations; completes complex reconciliations; reviews financial statements and general ledger, cashflow, and allocations.
• Completes sales tax returns and Form 1099s and prepares audit workpapers and tax workpapers as requested by clients.
• Oversee workflow and quality of work of Associates and Analysts. Supervise and ensure the efficiency and quality of work produced by Associates and Analysts.
• Assists with projects for internal audit, due diligence, system selection, and other consultative projects.
