Job summary

Playlist is seeking a seasoned React Native engineer to craft cross-platform mobile experiences for iOS and Android, collaborating with Product, Design, and QA to ship features from concept to production.

You will push the boundaries with AI-assisted workflows, optimize performance, and advance on-device data handling, networking, and offline support while ensuring accessibility and UX quality.

Qualifications

• 5+ years building cross-platform mobile apps with React Native for large-scale consumer or SaaS products.
• Strong TypeScript and JavaScript fundamentals and ecosystem knowledge.
• Deep experience with modern React Native, Hermes, and New Architecture concepts.
• Experience shipping to iOS and Android, and native module bridging when needed.
• Familiar with GraphQL/REST data fetching, caching, and offline patterns.
• Ability to design testable code, perform automated testing, and participate in CI/CD.

Responsibilities

• Partner with Product and Design to deliver features from ideation to App Store and Play Store release.
• Own mobile features end-to-end across iOS and Android including UI and networking.
• Build polished, accessible interfaces with strong performance on both platforms.
• Design and integrate client-side networking against GraphQL/REST APIs.
• Ensure reliable data flows on device with persistence, caching, and offline support.
• Drive testing, code reviews, crash reporting, and observability; manage release health.
