Job summary

Cognizant in Sunnyvale, CA is seeking a React Native Developer to design, build, and ship cross-platform mobile apps for Android and iOS. You will take features from development through production, collaborating with design, QA, and backend teams to deliver polished user experiences.

The role requires 5+ years of software development with deep React Native expertise, strong JavaScript skills, and experience with mobile app lifecycles from development to production.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of professional experience in software development with strong hands-on React Native experience.
• Solid understanding of mobile development principles for multiple target OS (Android and iOS).
• Experience with end-to-end development from development to production.
• Basic understanding of JavaScript development and build tools.
• Awareness of good practices in client-side coding and software design patterns (MVC, Delegation, Singleton, Factory, Adapter).

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain cross-platform mobile applications using React Native.
• Own the full app lifecycle from development and testing through release to production.
• Write clean, maintainable client-side code following industry best practices.
• Apply software design patterns to build scalable, well-structured applications.
• Use JavaScript development and build tools to manage builds, dependencies, and releases.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate requirements into working features.
• Troubleshoot, debug, and improve app performance on Android and iOS.
