Job summary

Cognizant is seeking an experienced React Native Developer to build and ship high-quality cross‑platform mobile apps for Android and iOS. The role supports a remote work model with eligibility for Cognizant’s incentive program.

The candidate will own features from development to production, collaborate with design, QA, and backend teams, and write clean, scalable client-side code while adhering to industry best practices.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of professional experience in software development with React Native
• Experience building cross‑platform mobile apps for Android and iOS
• End‑to‑end app development from development to production
• Basic understanding of JavaScript development and build tools
• Knowledge of software design patterns (MVC, Delegation, Singleton, Factory, Adapter)

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain cross-platform mobile apps using React Native
• Own the full app lifecycle from development through release to production
• Write clean, maintainable client-side code following best practices
• Apply software design patterns to build scalable apps
• Use JavaScript development and build tools to manage builds and releases
• Collaborate with design, QA, and backend teams to translate requirements into features
• Troubleshoot and improve app performance on Android and iOS
