Job summary

Cognizant is seeking an experienced React Native Developer to design, build, and ship high-quality cross-platform mobile applications for Android and iOS. Hybrid work in Sunnyvale, CA allows collaboration with design, QA, and backend teams to deliver polished user experiences.

You will own the full app lifecycle, write clean client-side code, and apply scalable design patterns. The role offers a discretionary annual incentive program and comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of professional software development experience with React Native.
• Experience building apps for Android and iOS.
• Understanding of end-to-end mobile app development from development to production.
• Basic understanding of JavaScript development and build tools.
• Knowledge of software design patterns such as MVC, Delegation, Singleton, Factory, and Adapter.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain cross-platform mobile applications using React Native.
• Own the full app lifecycle, from development and testing through release to production.
• Write clean, maintainable, and efficient client-side code following industry best practices.
• Apply proven software design patterns to build scalable, well-structured applications.
• Use JavaScript development and build tools to manage builds, dependencies, and releases.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate requirements into working features.
• Troubleshoot, debug, and improve app performance on both Android and iOS.
